A Mother's Day poem from My Daughter
On this Mother's day I am again far from mine.
With nothing to give but this heartfelt message in my time.
I'll always give my thanks and undying love.
Because of you I know that I can reach for the stars above.
You gave me life, strength, knowledge, and power.
You do your best with what you have even to this very hour.
A role model still though you think I have surpassed.
However your knowledge compared to mine still outlasts.
This message is made with love and care.
Being more than one state away just isn't fair.
I'm sorry I can't give flowers or make coffee on this Mother's day.
But I have a voice and this is all that I can say
